The Details...
This cuff is constructed from gilded metal. Around the outside of the bangle is a gilded metal box chain. Hand wired to this are claw set, round, pastel coloured rhinestones. The bracelet fastens with a box clasp and features a safety chain. It is signed - the inside of the piece features an oval cartouche stamped with 'MIRIAM HASKELL'. The internal diameter of the cuff is 5.75cm, making the internal circumference 18.06cm.
A Short History...
Hand-wired rhinestone pieces were one of the signature designs of Frank Hess, who produced jewellery for the Miriam Haskell company between 1926 and 1960. It's therefore highly likely that this piece was created by him in the 1950s.
