The Details...

This brooch is constructed from silver. It features a posy design and is detailed with small, round, claw set, ruby paste stones. The brooch fastens with a trombone clasp and the fastening pin is fitted to the brooch with a round hinge. The brooch measures 7cm x 5cm. It features a French silver makers lozenge shaped stamp - inside which are the initials 'LRS' and what appears to be a bird's head motif. However, after extensive research it has not been possible to associate this mark with a specific maker.
