These beautiful earrings are of exceptional quality and design. They were created in the late 1950s in Kaufbeuren, West Germany by Otto Muller.

Condition Report:

Very Good - A tiny scuff to the surface of one of the faux pearl drops. This is consistent with age and is only visible upon very close inspection. It does not detract from the appeal of the earrings.

The Details...

These gilded metal earrings feature a floral design detailed with round, navette and oval cut rhinestones in shades of orange, brown and Aurora Borealis. All of the stones are multi-faceted and claw set. Suspended beneath the earrings are round faux pearls and teardrop shaped faux pearls with metal petal-like cappings. The earrings are clip on and are stamped '59' on their reverse, which corresponds with the registration number for the Otto Muller factory. The earrings measure 8cm x 2.5cm. 

All of our clip earrings are provided with removable pads for additional comfort, should you require it.

A Short History...

Otto Muller was a manufacturer of high-end costume jewellery based within the Kaufbeuren-Neugablonz industrial zone in Western Germany. After the second world war, this are became a hot bed for the creation of quality fashion jewels. Important designers, such as Christian Dior, looked to the Kaufbeuren jewellery producers to make their pieces. Otto Muller is known to have produced pieces for the house of Dior and was a former partner of perhaps the best known Kaufbeuren maker, Max Muller.

- Try not to drop your jewellery or catch your jewellery against hard surfaces. If this happens over time, the findings and fixings can loosen and wear.

- Try not to get your jewellery wet. Some costume jewellery manufacturers utilised water soluble glue in the making of their pieces. Getting your jewellery wet could cause rhinestones and other details to fall away over time.

- If you wish to clean your jewellery, use a soft polishing cloth or a soft brush.
